Abstract
Brinjal fruit and shoot borer, Leucinodes orbonalis Guenee, is a major pest on brinjal, Solanum melongena in South and South-East Asia. Larvae cause enormous damage to brinjal pods and shoots and the population management is normally done with frequent application of insecticides.
