Abstract
Para-Nitroaniline (PNA) is one of the most widely used synthetic precursors in the pharmaceutical industry which has been identified as a contaminant of emerging concern (CEC) due to its toxicity. Slow pyrolyzed teawaste biochar (BC), modified by shaking with 5M hydrochloric acid for 24 h at 50±5 °C, was used for the sorptive removal of PNA from aqueous systems.
